Refractions
An important part of all of our eye exams, our refraction provides patients with one- on- one care from Dr. Hoskins using state of the art technology to access your vision. Whether you're nearsighted (myopia), farsighted (hyperopia), or have astigmatism. Dr. Hoskins will perform a careful refraction and present you with your options for the best vision correction.
Eye Health Evaluation
Eye conditions happen to the best of us. Here at ION Optical, we have years of experience in evaluating eye health and diagnosing and treating acute and chronic eye conditions. Dr. Hoskins and his team pride themselves in providing the very best, comprehensive eye care using the most up to date information and latest technology for any eye problems that may occur.
Optomap Exam
Dr. Hoskins is proud to offer retinal imaging using the Daytona Optomap. The Optomap retinal image produces a 200° single-capture image of unrivaled clarity in less than ½ second. This fast, easy, non-invasive imaging technology was designed for healthy eye screening and has been shown to enhance pathology detection and disease management. The Daytona system is the most widely used true Ultra-Wide Field imaging device.

OCT Exam
In addition to the Optomap photos Dr. Hoskins also offers retinal photography when needed with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). Using a 3D OCT camera, this allows the doctor to simultaneously take a digital photograph and 3D cross section scan of the back of your eye. This is a quick, scan that allows doctor to see beneath the surface of your retina and detect vision threating conditions in their early stages.
